Hope is an oil painting of a Walking Iris. I photographed this beauty last spring and just had to paint it. I couldn’t resist working with all those little stripes on some of the petals. Did you know that the iris is a symbol of hope? Couldn’t we all use a little of that right now? In floriography, the iris can also mean wisdom, trust and valor. It’s also the birth flower for February! This painting is signed by me and is unframed. The last photo is for example only and not to scale.
